Ultrasonic system (US) employed by EVOPIPES for quality control of plastic material pipes in the extrusion process is a real technological break-through. The system measures & controls the conformity of product parameters to given standards:
- Wall thickness: individual layers and total layer thickness;
- Wall thickness distribution;
- Interior diameter;
- Exterior diameter;
- Ovalness;
- Eccentricity;
- Surface flaws.
US documents all relevant quality data and can therefore provide evidence on quality in compliance with global standards. The system is fully integrated into newest extrusion machinery of EVOPIPES.

Innovation brought by further integration of ultrasonic system with gravimetric material feeding system:
US completely scans the pipe in length wise direction and around the circumference. No spot escapes from this detection!
US continuously determines the actual weight per metre (kg/m) based on the gravimetric data (kg/h) and the haul-off speed (m/min). Based on the weight per metre, the ultrasonic measurement is calibrated, independent of temperatures in the measured spot. These measured values are always absolute figures!

Automatic coilers employed by EVOPIPES for packing smooth and corrugated PVC, PE and PP pipes in coils represent a highly valued automation solution in itself, symbolizing how customer’s convenience in working with our solutions is important for us.
Our stretch film coilers, by creating coils wrapped across their diameter with bands of stretch film, bring the following advantages to our customer’s benefit:
- Pipes are protected to the very last turn. Coils have a special feature: they are designed so that user can pull out the length of pipe desired starting from the end on the inside of the coil without the packaging coming apart: this means that unused pipe remains neatly inside the package and does not get dirty.
- Savings in coil transport costs. The product (coil) is packed without a core inside. This means that the empty space in the middle of the coil can be minimized, achieving a smaller size of packaging than your average coil for the same amount of wound pipe.
Automatic strap coilers used for coiling smooth and corrugated PE pipes produce fine compact and stable coils evenly tightened with straps in heat-sealed PP. Storage space and transportation cost savings are apparent benefits!
